Barnabee’s Review: Spiced Non-Fat Greek Yogurt *Healthy Low-Cal Snack! (Under 200 Calories)

Greek Yogurt with Maple Syrup and a sprinkle of Cinnamon

Another Fitness Magazine/Pinterest recipe I had to try! I use Plain Non-Fat Greek Yogurt instead of Vanilla Flavored N/F Greek Yogurt to save another 10 or so calories per cup, and sometimes it’s a little bitter. So to sweeten it up I found a quick snack to try Via Fitness Magazine, then of course Pinned it to my board.

Fitness Magazine’s recipe called for Greek Yogurt and Maple Syrup, but I had this excellent honey I wanted to try, and boy it was a great filling snack for a hunger attack!

I added 1 tablespoon Buckwheat honey (about 60 Calories) to 1 cup Plain N/F Greek Yogurt (120 Calories / Cup) with a sprinkle of cinnamon and wow! What an easy snack!

I was lucky enough to snatch this honey from the Ren Fest this year. It’s made in Michigan with our local honey bees. Remember: Buy Local!

Rating: 1 out of 5 scale (1 being the lowest and 5 the best)
Prep Time: 2 minutes to throw together.
Taste: 4 out of 5
Suggestion: Try Vanilla Flavored Greek N/F Yogurt to make a little sweeter or add a Splenda packet!

Tell me what you guys think!

  1. Love this :) I tried it with honey and pumpkin pie seasoning instead of cinnamon and it was a super yummy alternative to pie for dessert!
